A 22mm watch band fits a wide range of watches, from Garmin Fenix fitness watches to Seiko 5 mechanical watches to Casio Duro dive watches and Huawei GT smartwatches. If your watch has 22mm lugs (the gap between the watch case horns), any standard 22mm band will fit with the right spring bar or quick-release mechanism. zamani’s heritage designs, including keffiyeh, tatreez, shemagh, Arabic calligraphy, and more, are available in 22mm for most of the watches below.

Note on Garmin QuickFit: QuickFit 22 uses slightly wider spring bar holes than standard 22mm lug holes. zamani’s 22mm quick-release bands fit most Garmin QuickFit models, but if yours is tight, contact us for guidance on the best-fit spring bar size.

Note on spring bar watches: Seiko SRPD models have thicker lug holes than many other 22mm watches. Standard quick-release bars usually fit, but the fit can be snug. A spring bar tool (available as an add-on) makes installation easier.

Quick-Release vs Spring Bar: What Is the Difference?

Most modern smartwatches and fitness watches use quick-release (QR) spring bars. These have a small pin or lever on the underside of the band that lets you swap straps without any tools. Press, slide, click: done in 30 seconds.

Traditional mechanical watches typically use plain spring bars, small cylindrical pins that require a spring bar tool to install and remove. The tool compresses the pin so you can lift it out of the lug holes. Once you have done it a few times, it takes under two minutes.

zamani’s 22mm bands come with quick-release spring bars as standard. These work in both quick-release watch slots and traditional spring bar slots (the QR mechanism just folds flat against the band). A spring bar tool is available as an add-on at checkout for watches with tighter lug holes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What watches use 22mm bands?

Common 22mm watches include Garmin Fenix 7/8 (47mm), Seiko 5 SRPD series, Casio Duro MDV-106, Orient Kamasu and Mako III, Hamilton Khaki Field 42mm Mechanical, Huawei Watch GT3/GT4/GT5 46mm, Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 45mm and original Galaxy Watch 46mm, Amazfit GTR 4 and Balance, Coros Pace 3, and Polar Vantage V3. Note: many Samsung Galaxy Watch models (4/5/6/7) are 20mm, not 22mm.

How do I know if my watch is 22mm?

Measure the gap between the lugs (the protruding parts of the watch case where the band attaches) with a ruler or caliper. If the gap is 22mm, your watch takes a 22mm band. You can also check your watch’s specifications online: search the model name plus “lug width.” The table above lists confirmed measurements for popular models.

Do I need a tool to fit a 22mm band?

It depends on your watch. Smartwatches with QuickFit or quick-release mechanisms (Garmin, Huawei, Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, Amazfit) require no tools. Mechanical watches with standard spring bar lugs (Seiko, Orient, Casio, Hamilton) typically need a spring bar tool. zamani offers a spring bar tool as an add-on at checkout. The quick-release spring bars included with zamani bands also reduce tool dependency for mechanical watches in many cases.

Does a Garmin Fenix use 22mm bands?

Yes. Garmin Fenix 7 and Fenix 8 (47mm models) use 22mm bands via the QuickFit 22 system. The QuickFit mechanism allows tool-free band changes. Standard 22mm quick-release bands are compatible with QuickFit 22. Note: the smaller Fenix 7S and 8S models use 20mm bands.

Are heritage watch bands available in 22mm?

Yes. zamani offers keffiyeh, tatreez, shemagh, Arabic calligraphy, and other heritage patterns in 22mm. These fit Garmin Fenix, Seiko 5, Orient, Casio Duro, Hamilton Khaki, Huawei GT series, and most other 22mm watches. No other brand offers Arabic heritage designs in 22mm at the time of writing.
